As the Founder and CEO of Sequence Health from 2002 until it’s sale in 2020,
Rich led the development of new healthcare systems and services that
transformed the patient care paradigm across diverse medical verticals. The
company generated $100M in top-line revenue during his tenure. In addition,
Rich organized funding in excess of $20M
Sequence Health, under Rich’s direction, designed and launched the country’s
first healthcare customer relationship management (CRM) platform, selling
the array of systems and service solutions to over 400 major hospital
systems,
clinics, and practices throughout the U.S.
Rich envisioned and created a healthcare-specific call center that enhanced
the patient experience; improved delivery of timely, accurate information;
and increased patient appointment show rates by more than 50%.
Rich led the overall systems and services efforts to improve patient
conversion from initial inquiry to billable patient by 120%. In addition to
this,
Rich and his team introduced the very first custom online education process
which transformed new patient intake, education, and informed consent
across multiple medical verticals, while at the same time eliminating the
need
for face-to-face seminars and other initial patient indoctrination processes
in
favor of branded and customized interactive video compilations.
For the 10 years prior to starting up Sequence Health, Rich spearheaded the
start-up of a $40M Research and Development organization for Fostex
Corporation creating hardware and operating systems for TV and movie
production across the US. Rich and his development team was awarded
Patent D 3660871 for Audio / Awarded Patent D 3660871 for Audio / Video
Workstation invention.
For the first 15 years of Rich’s work experience he managed operations
system development, MRP, DRP, logistics automation, materials management,
purchasing and field service operations for a $3B high-tech computer
manufacturer.
Dr. Jon Belsher
Chief Executive Officer
Jon brings over 30 years of healthcare leadership experience in both clinical and executive roles. As a forward-thinking and results-driven leader, Jon is passionate about creating innovative solutions to address healthcare staffing shortages, leveraging his extensive expertise in both healthcare delivery and business development.
Prior to joining Overture, Jon served as President and CEO of UCI Medical Affiliates, overseeing 80+ centers and 1,200 employees, and as Chief Medical Officer of MedSpring Urgent Care, a company he helped co-found. He played a pivotal role in expanding MedSpring to over 50 centers across five major metropolitan markets, including a partnership with prestigious Mass General Brigham in Boston.
A Mayo Clinic-trained physician, Jon became triple-boarded in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care. He also completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and has held numerous leadership positions, including Chief of Aerospace Medicine for the Arizona Air National Guard and Chief Medical Officer for telemedicine start-up Extensor Health.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Belsher is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He has served as a staff physician for the non-profit program Health Care for the Homeless and has been actively involved with Special Olympics as a Clinical Director and Board member in multiple states, reflecting his compassion and dedication to improving the lives of others.
Jon’s commitment to healthcare innovation and operational excellence makes him a key driver in Overture’s mission to revolutionize healthcare staffing. He resides in Arizona with his family and enjoys staying active with swimming, running, and mountain biking.

Sunthar has operated at the forefront of digital innovation since founding

Solutions, LLC, a global software development and IT services company in
2003.
Sunthar has over 25 years of experience as a technologist and has a
successful record of
accomplishment across the consulting and technology industry, including
building SaaS
products, leading high performing global engineering teams, Deep experience
with various
Software Development methodologies and approaches, with an appreciation of
how and when
to employ each, technology consulting, systems integration, application
outsourcing and with
deep expertise leading delivery operations across geographies.
Sunthar holds a BS degree in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University,
India, and MBA
from University of Pittsburgh. He Serves as a board of director at Literacy
Pittsburgh, a PA
governor honored NGO and enjoys as assistant scout master at his sons Boys
scouts troop.
Matt Bronniman
Executive Vice President
Matt was born and raised in the United Kingdom. He served in the British Army (Royal Signals) across various units including the 7th Armoured Brigade (the respected Desert Rats) and operated as an Electronic Warfare Specialist.
After his service, and before moving to New Zealand for 10 years, Matt launched his own IT and Telecommunications company expanding across 14 different countries; he has specialised in technical innovations (first to market) and Software as a Service. Within his many varying roles, Matt has managed 650+ associates, been responsible for $100 million P&L as well as a lead in implementing multi-million-dollar contracts.
Matt is considered a thought leader in using cutting-edge and emerging technologies and innovative thinking to transform legacy operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase adaptability. He is a proven change leader driving strategic reorientation, organizational restructuring, and team re-invigoration to improve business outcomes.
He is passionate about building world-class teams and gaining client trust. Matt believes if the client wins, we all win.
Matt resides in Southern California and loves the outdoors, climbing mountains, Moto GP racing, and rugby.
Marianne Trefz
Client Services Advisor
Marianne Trefz is Client Services Advisor focusing on growth and creating exceptional client experiences through innovative technologies.
Marianne has more than 25 years’ experience collaborating with clients ranging from C-level to working teams, concentrating on delivering solutions to complex business problems and reducing process friction. Before joining Overture, she worked in the manufacturing and financial services industries managing teams responsible for top-tier accounts including several of the largest financial and investment services companies in the United States. She was responsible for contracts valued at upwards of $110M in annual revenue. Most recently, she worked for eight years in client-facing roles in digital channels and enterprise software within a leading Fortune 500 Fintech company.
Marianne is extraordinarily passionate about client success and leveraging emerging technologies to improve people’s lives.
Marianne holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Utah. She lives in California with her family and enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and gardening.
Aleta Balcer
CFO
Aleta works industriously to guide financial decisions with her expertise, develop crucial financial strategies, and oversee the company’s fiscal resources. Prior to Overture, Aleta worked in the accounting and finance industry for a total of thirty years. Her experience started in retail management as a store manager. She transitioned to the health industry, where she held a Director of Finance position for sixteen years. She also has three years of banking experience.
In her free time, Aleta enjoys coaching high school cheerleading, which she has done for the past eight years. She started her high school coaching career in youth cheerleading. She is also an avid Disney lover and her favorite place to travel is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She is married and has a little Yorkie named Roxy.
Dr. Vafa Shayani
Chief Medical Officer, Healthcare
Dr. Vafa Shayani completed his undergraduate degree at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and medical school at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed his general surgical residency at George Washington University and after an additional year of concentrated training in advanced laparoscopy, started his first professional appointment at Loyola University Medical Center in 1996. He ultimately attained the rank of Associate Professor of Surgery and the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery Program at Loyola University before his departure in 2007. Since then, he has been practicing as a General and Bariatric Surgeon in the Chicago metropolitan area. Dr. Shayani is proud to be listed in Castle Connolly’s 2021 Top Doctors, as featured in Chicago Magazine.
As a pioneer in the field of Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Shayani has been a principal investigator in several studies involving the adjustable gastric band (Lap Band) and the Orbera, Obalon and the Allurion Gastric balloons. An educator by nature, Dr. Shayani has helped train many general and bariatric surgeons in performance of various surgical procedures.
Dr. Shayani has held many leadership positions locally and nationally. He is the Bariatric Medical Director, past chairman of department of surgery and the current Vice President of the medical staff at the Advent Bolingbrook Hospital. He is also the chairman of Membership Committee at the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
With 26 years of clinical experience as a surgeon and many years of experience as an educator and leader, Dr. Shayani brings a unique perspective regarding challenges in today's healthcare and healthcare employment to Overture.
Dr Sunny Patel
Chief Medical Officer, Dentistry
Dr. Sunny Patel was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and attended the
University of Florida for his Bachelors in Biology. He attended the
University of Florida College of Dentistry as well, and moved to Atlanta
after completing his doctorate.
Dr. Patel completed extensive post doc training in comprehensive dentistry
with an emphasis on implants and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Patel believes in
continuing education and evidence-based dentistry to provide predictable and
reliable treatment for his patients. He works very hard to reduce
anxiety for his patients and build a comfortable experience for everyone.
Dr. Patel and his wife Amisha moved to Atlanta from Florida. They love to
travel and enjoy the outdoors. He grew up playing tennis, golf, and soccer.
Dr. Patel still plays in ALTA leagues and local tournaments.
Lijy Pallikkattil
Senior Director of Product Development
Lijy has over 10 years of experience managing global product development teams including overseeing various stages of product development life-cycle. With the overall goal of optimizing the effectiveness of the product delivery teams , Lijy works in collaboration with Clients, Product, Subject Matter Experts, Sales, Marketing, Service and Support to ensure that product/system features, functionality, and usability requirements are well defined and meet the business need. Lijy analyses various business scenarios during the product development life cycle, ensuring that all possibilities are well accounted for and that functional specifications provide the details that the technical group needs to execute without gaps. Lijy is also intimately involved in quality assurance to make sure that the end product exceeds customers expectations and that the functionality of the products are streamlined and user friendly.
Lijy holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Calicut university, India and a Master’s degree in Biology from Duquesne university. Lijy has a diploma degree and various certifications in Business analysis and in product development life cycle.
Ava Olsen
Director of Operations
As part of the Overture team, Ava is responsible for several different operating areas that ensure the success and development of the Overture product. She provides Candidate and Employer onboarding and training, takes part in product testing, and assists with the functional maintenance and operation of the Overture product.
Ava has a diverse background in higher education and she completed three May-semester study abroad programs, an undergraduate degree, and a Master’s degree in five years at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ava completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management. In the 3-2 accelerated program, Ava also completed her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Leadership & Strategy. Her first study abroad program was in Seville, Spain to complete a Spanish fluency program in Intermediate Spanish at the Center for Cross-Cultural Study. Her second study abroad program was in Yogyakarta and Bali, Indonesia to focus on the inclusion of creative work in waterside housing environments. Her third study abroad program was in Ireland, which focused on advanced economy and sustainability.
Ava enjoys traveling and has also been to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Kenya, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Her love for traveling is fueled by her hunger for knowledge and eagerness to learn about other languages and cultures. Even in middle school and high school, she took school-offered language programs in Spanish-immersion whenever available, Arabic, German, and Swahili.
